Fiji Mermaid is the recording and performing alias of J. Firth-Herbert,a songwriter living in northern California.         

              Her music has been described as "neo-folk," "original," "atmospheric,"  "a sound scape," "a daydream,"
and "killer."  Her music has been aired on several freeform and college radio stations on the west and east coasts.
